Welcome to post-grad life, one year later! I had planned to write about my graduation day ever since it happened, but I decided that I want to do it a year later, so I can reminisce about that day. I'm going to divide the story into several parts and end it with some of my thoughts about life, exactly one year later. The Prep About two or three months prior to my graduation event, I had created an expense plan for all the things I would need such as makeup, clothes, accommodation, etc. I actually researched and planned carefully on how I want to look during the event, and what things I would need to achieve that with a tight budget (yes, I was only a part-timer and my salary was only enough to buy myself meals not even for a whole month). I thought long and hard about should I just do my own makeup or should I get it done professionally. After some consultation with my mom, she suggested that I asked Adyuta (my cousin) to do my makeup. She had never done makeup for graduatio

I went to Cirebon last September, to visit my Aunt (who was recovering from her diabetes attack) and my Grandfather. I stayed there for a week. There are a lot of things I noticed during that time. Let's start with the huge mango tree my late Grandmother had planted in front of my Grandfather's bedroom window, which had been cut down. I understand Grandfather's reasons for cutting down the tree, despite my Aunt's objections. It was dangerous to keep the tree since on its way of collapsing, but I also think it's unnecessary to get rid of it completely. Somehow it felt like erasing Grandmother's memories. Or maybe Grandfather was just trying to deal with his grief, maybe the tree reminded him of Grandmother every time he looked at it. I'd like to share a piece of art that I had just finished today (finally). It was a tribute to a dream I once had, the scenery was a serene afternoon near a lake, with gorgeous, blooming bougainvillaeas to my left and right. Well, of course, the scenery was prettier than pictured above, but, oh, well, I've tried. Dreams, especially the ones occurred during sleep, can be obscure. It makes me wonder if there are any specific message or meaning that it tries to convey. Hi. I am officially 23 now! I don't have a specific topic to talk about in this post, but I have some stories to tell. Last Saturday my mom and I went to a free yoga class. We were required to register two days prior to the class. The class was at 8 in the morning, since we didn't want to be late, we went early. Arrived safely at 7 and we were the first ones to get there. It was raining, so the class was delayed. While waiting to come in to the class, a staff was checking each participant's attendance. It was finally our turn, but our names weren't there. I had registered but didn't got a reply, my mom had also registered but she got wait-listed, she agreed and also didn't get a reply. It turned out, the rule was that we need to get a reply first, an attendance number and then we can attend the free class. But the staff was kind enough to told us to wait while she checks with the supervisor. Some moments later, the staff told us since we've come all the

Initially I wanted to do 22 things I learned in 22, but since next Wednesday I will turn 23, I decided to list some things I have learned during my existence in this world for 23 years. I have ideas for this blog, but I was confused on how to create a post concept with better quality. My thoughts are always on discussion about all sorts of things, but I'm wondering if they're boring to put here, or if they're cohesive enough to be made into a whole, well, understandable story.
